The 5 overblow is a semi-tone above the 5 draw and a tone above the 5 blow, if you’re playing first position it will be the flattened fifth note of the scale, which is a ‘blues note’, so important if you’re playing blues in first position.
How to do it
It is quite similar to do as the 4 overblow, in fact I find this note easier to sustain than the 4OB. The main difference is that because it’s a higher note the mouth volume is slightly smaller, and the point on the tongue is slightly more forward. I’d say that your mouth is in a sort of whistle shape with a bit of a smile, if you can imagine that!
