The 6 overblow is again a semi-tone above the 6 draw, but this time a minor third above the 6 blow. Hey that’s pretty useful because the 6 blow just so happens to be the root note when playing in second position, that means that you’ve now got that super bluesy minor third in the middle register – and that’s a great note to have.
How to do it
The 6 overblow feels a bit different to me than the 5 or 4 in that the feeling tends to move more to the front of the mouth, almost like pushing air forwards towards the back of your front teeth, I’d say the tongue is in more of a ‘kee’ position compared to a ‘kaa’ position for the other overblows.
